Felix's Machines
2007 - 2020
Felix’s Machines are music machines that perform compositions synchronising light movement and sound. Built out of mechanically reconfigured piano parts, drums and various household items, the machines form a percussion ensemble inspired by characteristics derived from electronic music production.
Initially conceived for music composition, the machines underwent many sculptural transformations. During a decade of gradual development, new instruments were added, compositions written and performances held in various acoustic spaces in festivals and exhibitions across Europe.
